From that day on — living in the same house, separated by a staircase and a century — Zoe and Zoe Louise have been an important and permanent part of each other’s lives. I waved until I couldn’t see her car anymore, and then when she was out of sight, I bolted from the porch, ran around the house, across the snow-laden lawn, through the backyard, and the white trees, over a fence, through two more yards untouched by footprints, until I reached Bluff Drive, and with the bay sparkling below like ancient days, I stood there alone – alone and whole – and I waved wildly when I saw her car pass through the trees. A simple, well-written, occasionally creepy ghost story appropriate for younger audiences. I couldn’t get enough of ghost stories back then, and this was a good one from what I remember. Loved this when I was a kid.
